The Pilates method already has a considerable seniority, over 90 years. At the international level, there are two main trends at the moment:

  • The classic method, in which the exercises are still performed exactly as they were developed by J. Pilates and it is not allowed to add other elements or the divagation from the classic series of exercises.
  • The modern / contemporary method, which respects all Pilates principles and preserves the essence of their creator's work, using the entire repertoire of exercises and training the whole body. However, some exercises are modified on the basis of new scientific and medical concepts, being more suited to the current needs of different categories of practitioners, specific needs for the years 2000. Also, given the many areas of Pilates instructors in general (dancing , fitness, other performance sports, physio-kinetotherapy, yoga), the contemporary approach allows instructors to add different personal elements that bring a new breath to the classical exercise series, without violating the Pilates principles in any way.

Each hour has a different focus to ensure the variety of workouts.
